Restore Spam emails

I've had a problem on my website where the emails hosted on the server wouldn't receive emails sent from form on WordPress websites. Turned out they were registered as spam. So I've fixed that and also changed the plugin for the form.

My question is is there a way to retrieve those emails that didn't reach the inbox due to the spam filter, or are they deleted forever? They are really important to me and the rest of the team.

If emails have been directly blocked by the SPAM filters, then unfortunately they cannot be recovered. I assume that you were not delivered due to SPF settings? Did you receive any error messages then?

It could be SPF. I've changed the spam preferences now, emails are coming through (although with a significant delay, up to a full day). There have been no errors to my knowledge.
